Spring - Pensacola, FL
The Interstate Mullet Toss & Gulf Coast’s Greatest Beach Party is legendary. What started as just a reason to party has become one of the biggest beach parties on the coast. Those who participate in the Mullet Toss will throw a dead mullet over the state line of Florida and Alabama to see who gets the farthest. Hotel bookings are done months, if not years in advance for this event. People travel from across the globe to see what all the fuss is about here at the Flora-Bama; the memories are priceless.
Spring - Matlacha, FL
A Mullet Toss consists of individuals throwing a mullet from a marked foul line down a corridor. Assuring themselves of a New World Record. It's also a great excuse for us all to have a local party with lots of fun for everyone.
Spring - Goodland, FL
Stan's Idle Hour Seafood Restaurant in Goodland has been hosting the Mullet Festival and Buzzard Lope Queen Contest for 20 years. The Buzzard Lope is a dance based on "The Buzzard Lope Song" composed and sung by the restaurant’s owner, Stan Gober. Stan's restaurant hosts the annual festival; a unique event with lots of food, drink and music. A new 'Buzzard Lope' Queen will be crowned, and 5,000 people will be there to enjoy all the festivities. Live bands each day.
